Browns Editions book launch

August 2010

Last night, with gusto, we celebrated and launched our latest publication with the artist Paul Davis. In a building originally built as a textiles warehouse, now empty in central London, a fantastic time was had by all. The studio this morning is full with fragile heads and much needed bacon sandwiches.

Mr Jones

July 2010

After seven years of working together, my partner and friend Nick Jones is leaving Browns for pastures new. Although I’m sad, he’s departing with my blessing and support for the future. His official last day at Browns will be Friday 10th September. We’ve had a fantastic time together and we’ll all miss him. An end of an era and beginning of a new one.

What Happens Is Good & The Twinkling Of An Eye

July 2010

Paul Davis

Another collaboration between artist Paul Davis and Browns. This piece takes the form of a newspaper and is made up of two publications within one: Davis' drawings are printed onto a full Berliner format with a half Berliner insert featuring photography. In Davis' words: “The whole exercise was done with a loosened mind – the only stipulations were the edit of images which must essay beauty and let the rest follow so the information within, the meaning, the narrative is secondary to seeing what happens when the untethered brain tells the eager hand and excited shutter-finger what to do.”

What Happens Is Good will be launched in style at a rather large knees-up in a unique London venue this summer.
